Alyce & Jason

What great fun it was to be one of Alyce and Jason’s Mytton Fold wedding photographers.

This really was an amazing day, full of smiles, laughter – and magic tricks. A special wig even made an appearance.

Alyce and Jason managed to pull off enjoying every minute of their wedding day with being super chilled out – which is definitely the way to go. Engaged couples, take note.

After a beautiful service at Pleasington Priory a few minutes down the road, the stunning Mytton Fold Hotel hosted the rest of the fun and games.

Alyce and Jason were well on board with my style of documentary wedding photography, which is all about capturing genuine, real moments – strictly no posing or bossing people around.

The guests were well and truly looked after all day long, and I can neither confirm nor deny whether I visited the amply stocked sweet table a few times…

After magician Andrew Cooper of AC Magic had wowed the crowd – and me – with some mind-blowing tricks, guests were invited to try their luck at the pop-up casino. The kids were even more keen than the grown-ups.

All in all, a brilliant Mytton Hall wedding – and you couldn’t wipe the smile off Alyce’s and Jason’s face from start to finish.

While Jason spent the morning chilling out with his mates and putting the finishing touches to his outfit, Alyce was trying to decide which shoes to wear…

Wedding ceremony at Pleasington Priory

Alyce and Jason were married at the lovely Pleasington Priory, which has stood for more than 200 years. The service was touching but there were still plenty of laughs.

Time for food! But not before a game of ‘Mr and Mrs’ brought the house down and the speeches brought tears – of laughter and happiness – from Alyce and Jason’s nearest and dearest.

Mytton Fold wedding party!

The fun didn’t end there. Cue the pop-up casino, fancy-dress photo booth and plenty of dancing as the guests celebrated one of the happiest weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
